Susanna and the Elders, a 17thcentury Italian painting by Artemisia Gentileschi

The lies you perpetrate will feel like nakedness in front of your buddies.
This painting portrays two judges, important members of the community, praying upon a virtuous Jewish woman. Without her knowing, the men spied on her while she bathed. Overcome with lust, they cornered her saying she could either sleep with them or they would claim to have seen her lying with a young man. Her refusal condemned her to death by stoning. She was saved by divine intervention, and the judges were put to death instead.
This picture reminds me of myself, an innocent woman that was maliciously lied on and victimized. Were the important members of the community in the United State Air Force or were they in the military, or were they the government!?
The similarity…I will be saved by divine intervention.
The judges have not been put to death, yet…but it’s coming Until then, the Lord is exposing the judges, the persecution continues even to today, every day…
Jer. 50:38 A drought is upon her waters, and they will be dried up. For it is a land of graven images, and the people go mad over idols. worse yet, am doing? Lord, what am I to do?
This is what He told me…He didn’t remind me of any sins I have or had committed…
My Redeemer is strong; the Lord of Hosts is His Name. He will fervently plead my case so that He may bring rest to the earth, but turmoil to those who live in Babylon…Jer. 50:34
He just said this, through His WORD:
(Good News Translation) “I will take up your cause and will make your enemies pay for what they did to you. I will dry up the source of Babylon’s water and make its rivers go dry. (the water here in my country is MONEY! You hear that America, your springs, rivers, fountains are going dry, the money system.
Wealth is about to exchange hands…
Romans 12:19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.
Jer. 50:38 A drought is up on her waters, and they will be dried up. For it is a land of graven images, and the people go mad over idols.
Jer. 51:6 Flee from Babylon; escape with your lives! Do not be destroyed in her punishment. For this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance. He will pay her what she deserves!
Listen, I can’t figure out all this, the waters, Babylon, rivers…Lord, am I to run somewhere, to another country? I love America, this is my home. And what about the other Christians that believe in Your Son, Jesus…
Zec. 9:8 (Contemporary English) God says, “I will stand guard to protect my temple (he resides in me, so I’m His temple) from those who come to attack. I know what’s happening and no one will mistreat my people ever again.
“He wasn’t talking about you, He was talking about the Jews in captivity”, you say.
“No, numb nuts, that’s how you miss interpreting the Word.
Heb 4:12 For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
John 17:15 Jesus, your Son asked You to NOT take me out of the world but to keep me from the evil one. He said, “No one is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
Ps. 32:7 He is my hiding place, He preserves me from trouble, He surrounds me with songs of deliverance.
Ps 17:8 He keeps me as the apple of the eye; He hides me in the shadow of His wings.
Ps 86:2 Guard my life, Lord, I am a Godly woman, I am faithful to you, save your servant who trusts in you. You are my GOD.
John 17:15 Jesus, your Son asked You to NOT take me out of the world, but to keep me from the evil one. He said, “No one is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
This is what the Lord says about me! Did you hear that? It’s about me and what he has done for me and will do for me.
That’s the reason I won’t hide from you oppressors…
give it up… If you read your Bible right, He’ll say the same about you!
Psalm 17
A prayer of David. Frankie’s prayer, too
1 Hear me, Lord, my plea is just; listen to my cry. Hear my prayer— it does not rise from deceitful lips. 2 Let my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right.
3 Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed. 4 Though people tried to bribe me, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent through what your lips have commanded. 5 My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not stumbled.
6 I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. 7 Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. 8 Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings 9 from the wicked who are out to destroy me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.
10 They close up their callous hearts, and their mouths speak with arrogance. 11 They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground. 12 They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a fierce lion crouching in cover.
13 Rise up, Lord, confront them, bring them down; with your sword rescue me from the wicked. 14 By your hand save me from such people, Lord, from those of this world whose reward is in this life. May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies; may their children gorge themselves on it, and may there be leftovers for their little ones.
15 As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.
