Are You Shimei? by Frankie Dawson

Be careful what you say and how you treat people...

As King David approached Bahurim, a man from the family of the house of Saul was just coming out. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and as he approached, he kept yelling out curses.

And as he yelled curses, Shimei said, “Get out, get out, you worthless man of bloodshed!…

later this same man, Shimei, fell prostrate before the king and apologized. 2 Samuel 19:18-20.

One of David's men, Abishai wanted to put Shimei to death for, "He cursed the Lord's anointed". King David promised the man, Shimei, with an oath he would not die. King David did not want to think about Shimei because he had become king over Israel.

Everybody thought all was forgiven...much much later, on King David's death bed, he requests from his son Solomon to execute Shimei. My God, didn't David give the man his word he would not kill him? Well, David's promise not to kill Shimei only extended to himself.

Not get this...rather than kill Shimei as his dad, King David instructed, Soloman, placed Shimei on house arrest. Three years later, this fool goes chasing after a slave, and Soloman has him executed. 1Kings 2:36-46.

Moral of the passage?

Many veterans have cursed me, doing shenanigans unheard of to a fellow veteran...and I only tell of what was DONE to me and still being done, well, I am the Lord's anointed. I cry justice now, while I'm living! The Lord promised me,

Psalm 91:8 Only with MY eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Without suffering anything myself, I will look on and see the punishment of the ungodly.

Warning people, we are living in evil times...the political system will show it's true colors. I believe Donald Trump is anointed. The lord says, "Touch not mine anointed." We as a nation pray for him and his family. It's not over...
